The fictional band “Mido and Falasol,” comprised of South Korean actors Jo Jung-suk, Yoo Yeon-seok, Jung Kyung-ho, Kim Dae-myung, and Jeon Mi-do, will reunite for the first time in four years to release a new song as part of the soundtrack for the tvN drama Resident Playbook.
According to Studio Maum C on April 16, the Resident Playbook OST, featuring Mido and Falasol, will be released on April 20 at 6 p.m. KST via major streaming platforms.
The band, originally formed within the Hospital Playlist series, saw its members — all lead actors — perform music live within the show, blending narrative with music to great acclaim. Their return this time is a gesture of support for the spin-off series.
Mido and Falasol previously contributed hits such as “You’ve Fallen for Me,” “Late Night,” and “Someday,” while tracks like “Aloha,” “I Knew I Love,” and “To You, From Me” topped domestic charts and became synonymous with the series' emotional tone.
The upcoming OST will also feature performances from a wide array of K-pop stars, including Stray Kids’ Lee Know, Seungmin, and I.N, IVE’s Ahn Yu-jin, EXO’s D.O., aespa’s Winter, (G)I-DLE’s Minnie, Tomorrow X Together, and SEVENTEEN’s DK.
